Walk for Life Sept 9, 2023

Each year Columbia Pregnancy Clinic & Family Resources asks the community to participate in a short walk (1.8 miles) to help raise awareness for the need for pregnancy resource centers.

Everyone can participate in the Walk for Life, even if you’re not in St. Helens. You can complete the short walk all on your own, or you can offer to be a sponsor for a walker in town.

Curious about how it works?

Each participant in the Walk 4 Life is encouraged to set a fundraising goal, then reach out to family and friends to sponsor their walk. Sponsors can pledge any dollar amount to help participants reach their goal. On the day of the walk, join us at the park, or choose to avoid crowds and walk on your own.

Annual Events:

  • January 23 – National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday
    On January 22, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation designating that day as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day. Churches around the United States continue to recognize the third Sunday in January as Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. They use the day to recognize that human beings are created in the image of God and that all human life is sacred.
  • May 14-June 18 – Baby Bottle Campaign Mother’s Day to Father’s Day
    Learn how your church, business, or organization can participate in this easy fundraiser! Hand out baby bottles on Mother’s Day to be “baby banks” to collect coins, and be returned on Father’s Day.

Upcoming Booths, Community Events, & Fundraiser Events: (Event Volunteers Needed)

Plan ahead to attend these events in 2023! Our goal is to have enough volunteers for each day of each event, so that supporters only need to volunteer for one event, for one 4 hour shift. Find out more about volunteering with CPC events here!

  • June 16 – Annual Spring Dessert Banquet – hosted by Clatskanie Community Church
  • June 17 – CPC St. Helens Parking Lot Garage Sale –
    Donations from people in the community will be sold
  • June 24 – St. Helens Citizens Day in the Park – Saturday – 1 day booth event
  • June 24 – Rainier City Wide Garage Sale – CPC will rent table space at Riverside Church to residents living outside the city limits so they may participate in the City Wide Garage Sale
  • July 4 – Clatskanie Heritage Days – Tuesday – 1 day booth event
  • July 7-9 – Rainier Days in the Park – Friday thru Sunday – 3 day booth event
  • August 4-6 – Vernonia Jamboree & Logging Show – Friday thru Sunday – 3 day booth event
  • August 12 – Columbia City Celebration – Saturday – 1 day booth event
  • September 9 – Walk for Life will take place in St. Helens
  • September  – Scappoose Adventure Fest/ 1K-6K-10K – Run With Neil – Saturday – 1 day booth event
  • November 11 – Annual Fall Dessert Banquet – hosted by Sunset Park Community Church in St. Helens

4 Kidz Resale Grand Opening

Grand Opening Saturday Dec 3, 2022 10AM – 3PM Tours and Snacks

 

We are holding a Grand Opening at the Rainier Columbia Pregnancy Center, 305 West 3rd St., Rainier on Dec. 3rd, Saturday from 10 – 3 pm for the new 4 Kids Resale Store.  Tours of the pregnancy center will be offered to the public on Saturday.  Everyone is invited!
 
This store provides clothing, diapers, vitamins, formula, strollers, cribs and more for clients who take “Earn While You Learn” classes.  We offer over 360 classes for mothers, fathers, co-parenting and families.
Items sold to the public from 4 Kidz Resale will go towards funding operations of the new Columbia Pregnancy medical clinic scheduled to open March 2023.

1st Annual Parking Lot Benefit Sale

In 2022 the Columbia Pregnancy Center will be holding two Parking Lot Benefit Sales.

May 14th – St. Helens Columbia Pregnancy Center – 970 Columbia Blvd

June 18th Rainier Columbia Pregnancy Center – 305 West C Street
Sale will be held during the Rainier City Wide Garage Sale

All items in our Parking Lot Benefit Sales are donated by local citizens to support the CPC ministry.
Great opportunity to donate those things you no longer use or need while supporting the pregnancy center programs for men, women and families in our community.

We are grateful for supporters who see value in every individual and who want to make a positive impact on others who are experiencing an unexpected pregnancy.

Dessert Banquet Alston’s Corner Assembly of God

Alston’s Corner Assembly of God will host a dessert banquet on June 9th, Thursday 6:30 pm.

We invite the public to participate in this event through table sponsorships or purchasing individual tickets. Businesses, churches, organizations and individuals may sponsor tables of eight for $100 or buy individual tickets for $15 to help cover the meal, program and speakers.

The banquet will include a Silent Auction, Raffle, and Guest Speaker.
